What kind of BPO jobs can freshers get?
- Customer support (voice): answering customer calls for a bank, telecom company or online brand. This is the most common fresher role.
- Chat and email support (non-voice): helping customers in writing. Good if you type well and prefer not to talk on the phone all day.
- Back office: data processing, documentation and checking records.
- Outbound sales and collections: calling customers about products or payments, usually with incentives on top of salary.

What you need to get hired
- Education: many fresher BPO roles accept candidates who have passed 12th or are graduates. Each opening states its own requirement.
- Communication: clear spoken English for most voice roles, and Hindi or Marathi for many domestic processes.
- Basic computer skills: typing, email and moving between screens.
- Shift flexibility: many roles have rotating shifts, and international processes often work at night.
- Documents for joining: usually ID proof, PAN card, education certificates and bank details.

Pick a location you can reach easily, because BPO shifts can start early or end late. Many BPO offices in Navi Mumbai sit in the business parks around Airoli and Vashi, Thane has offices around Wagle Estate and Ghodbunder Road, and Mumbai's are spread across areas like Andheri, Malad and Powai. For night shifts, ask whether the company provides cab pick-up and drop.
